  • He was the founder of Indian Coffee House.
  • First Coffee house in Kerala was started at Trichur.
  • He led the Pattini Jadha in 1936 from Kannur to Madras. 32 persons were participated.
  • He is popularly known as A K G.
  • He known as the “Crusader of the down trodden”.
  • He was the Volunteer Captain of Guruvayur Satyagraha (1931).
  • In 1939 he joined to Communist party.
  • He was the First opposition leader in Loksabha. His autobiography is Ente Jeevithakadha.
  • Susheela Gopalan (Former minister of Kerala) was the wife of AKG.
  • He died in 1977 March 22. His Tomb is at Payyambalam beach.
  • The film AKG was directed by Shaji N Karun.
