- Smallest biosphere reserve – Dibre- Saikhowa(Assam)

- Project tiger was passed in the year – 1973.

- National Tiger Reservation authority was formed in the year 2006 Sept. 4. And the Chairman of the authority is Central Minister of Forest and Environment.
